This distinctive Historic Inn features, (On the National Register of Historic Places since 1979) The Greek Revival structure features double-porches, brick exterior and a country setting inviting one to shed their cares and relax to the sounds of the creek and natures carolers. Originally built as a stagecoach stop, the Inn has been serving the public almost continuously since 1820. After its sale in the early 1960's when Mr. John Rowell retired, it was lovingly restored in 1982. The Victorian tin ceilings and early detailing are well preserved and the Inn features many wonderful antiques, some believed to be original to the Inn. There are seven comfortable rooms with private baths, two with fireplaces. Two spacious rooms on the top floor were carved from the original ballroom, complete with the domed ceiling, furnished with antiques and country decor. The Inn features three common rooms, two with wood burning fireplaces and a beautiful wood stove in the full service tavern room. The Inn is centrally located near Okemo & Stratton Mountains, Weston, and the Village of Chester; the Inn is off by itself with some fine walks and snowmobiling right out the door. $120.00.-$175.00 - Optional Dinner Service is available on weekends and selected mid-week dates during peak season. Afternoon refreshments and a full country breakfast are served.
